Research and Evaluation
Research is one of the important activities of SRC, taken up in the state with the objective of reviewing the programme, policies and outcome of efforts.
Apart from Research studies, SRC Assam has also conducted evaluation and feasibility studies in and outside the states. The SRC Assam is empanelled by the
ministry of HRD as an agency for conducting, External Evaluation of literacy programmes.
1. A Report on impact study of NIOS Assessment
State Resource Centre Assam has conducted a draft report on ‘Impact study of NIOS Assessment’ on the financial year of 2014-15. The intension behind this report was to evaluate the performance of the neo literates in the examination held since
2010 and also to make a critical evaluation on the literacy drive specially in three core competencies namely Reading, Writing and Numeracy. | |
2. A Report on identification of local dialects and possibility of developing special primer for Tiwa Dialect
State Resource Centre Assam has conducted a study on the need of Basic literacy to the adult non literates Tiwa Tribes. The objective of this report was to understand the need and importance of basic literacy among
the Tiwas through Mother Tangue. | |
3. External Evaluation cum Study on TLC
State Resource Centre Assam has conducted an external evaluation of total Literacy campaign (TLC) at Bishnupur district
of Manipur on October 16th 2006. In this evaluation it has been tried to put certain information of adult literacy programme in the society. The aim
of this evaluation was to improvement and strengthening of the subsequent stages of TLC programme. From this evaluation a realistic picture of the
learning and other aspects has come. | |
4. External Evaluation cum Study on TLC
State Resource Centre Assam has conducted an external evaluation of total Literacy campaign (TLC) at East Kameng district
of Arunachal Pradesh on December 2008. In this evaluation it has been tried to put certain information related to effectiveness of motivation to the
target learners and influences of adult literacy programme in the society. The aim of this evaluation was to improvement and strengthening of the
